Pirilampeios was written in 2008 for the Norrbotten Neo Ensemble (Sweden), and later revised for a performance with the Aventa Ensemble (Canada). This piece was inspired by the abstract concept of duality and opposition, such as noise/tone, long/short, still/activity, or harmonic/inharmonic. Deeply based on Spectralism, it invites the listener to a sonic experience that explores different interconnected temporalities, textures, and timbres.
