Puzzle house

This work was awarded the Grand Prize at the Isang Yun International Composition Prize 2013.
Being inspired by a puzzle, this work consists of two parts. In the first part, the small puzzle pieces look similar but different, and they match up nicely one by one. In the second part, the pieces that look like big lumps are arranged in various ways and put together a puzzle. The lumps can be considered as close-up views of the small pieces from the first part. The different shaped pieces are mixed together and make a contrast. The two parts of the puzzle house, the small and close-up pieces, create harmony and finalize this music.
