It is written for SATB a Capella. The text is adopted from Bible’s John 14:27, and pleading for the world’s peace is the main theme of the text. The music commences with a single line by soprano part, and other parts gradually join in until arriving at dramatic climaxes. Throughout the piece, subtly of dissonances more often blend with diatonic sound reflecting the meaning behind the text.
