Notes on this piece
De-Flux
De-Flux is intended to be a part of a series of works entitled “Fluxus et Ictus”, which is a term inspired by Kant. The political metaphor is that of a disruption and corruption caused by assimilation. The term is also reflected conceptually in every piece. Fluxus is represented by the continuous motion in constant tempo. Ictus appears both as irregular strokes, which interrupt the incessant flux and also as recurring beats in a rather more stationary motion. The current piece De-Flux deals with the same concepts and metaphors; the prefix “De” indicates my starting idea of a downward motion which is vaguely present.
