A member of l’Itinéraire since its foundation in 1973, he has performed regularly with its “Ensemble d’Instruments Électroniques” (Electric guitar and electronic keyboards). As a composer and player he has worked on expanding the relation between instruments and electronic means. Master classes at the IRCAM in 1980 and 1981 and at the Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM) in 1988. François BOUSCH has lectured and has been given numerous commissions.
His works combine classical means with up-to-date technology (orchestra with or without soloists, instrumental ensemble or chamber music, soloists, electronics). His compositions have been performed in numerous festivals in France and abroad and have been broadcast in many countries.
Sculpting sound matter, probing it, listening to it in its intimacy, such is the artistic approach proposed by François BOUSCH.
His music listening to the Universe, written and/or improvised, suggests a dreamlike poetry made of shadows, glimmers and fringes, fleeting and moving impressions, silences and emotions.
