Que fará na alta praia em que o mar é o tempo?

The piece is inspired by a poem by Fernando Pessoa ("Antes de nós nos mesmos arvoredos"), about the stupefaction in facing our fleetingness: "If here, at the sea-shore, my footmark / on the sand the sea with waves three it cancels. / what would it be at the high beach / in which the sea is the Time?"
It was premièred by Nicola Baroni, cello, and Valentina Daldegan, flute, at the Conservatory of Bologna in January 2020.
