When I was young, and I started to learn about/with/through music in an academic way, beauty in music became more and more a historical term which had no importance for me at that time of my live. I found it senseless or at least uninteresting. And so, 10 or 20 years ago, I heard and I composed extreme music: Merciless hardness, exaggerated narrowness, desperate sorrow. Nowadays I hear and I compose in a different way: The continuity of beauty which emerges in different spaces, cultures, eras, and philosophies with its endless abundance of form and shape – this continuity got me thinking, made me aware of the indestructible quality of beauty. Now I see that beauty can happen now, with/through the music that I’m composing.
