Memórias de uma Paisagem Inexistente

Memórias de uma Paisagem Inexistente (Memories from an inexistent landscape) was written for the Cerrado Flute Quartet in 2012, to whom the work is dedicated. The piece has five movements, each one with its respective memory and musical language, which uses from extended techniques to microtonality. Despite the inherent and specific features of each movement, the works seeks unity in its global and local structures, linking these different movements. The piece becomes an expression of imagination, shaped as memories of a place that has never existed.
