Notes on this piece "Chromosphere" is an abstract transformation of the supreme powerful Sun's radiation into a musical sound. Composer was inspired when he had been meditating whereby looked at the Sun and let his body absorbed the Sun's energy into his mind. The Characteristic of the musical sound of the entire piece can be transcribed as the Sun's energetic expression.
Based on an idea of texture and tone colour organization, this composition exposes a several levels of density and instrumental layer which gradually move forward. In each line play their own role as a small grain of sounds that mixed in to massive sound wall. Series of number has been used for note duration in order to create densemicropolyphonic line.
This is the composer’s first completed orchestral piece composed between the year of 2001 and 2002 with an inspiration from Thai visual artist Mr.PratuangEmcharoen who focuses on painting radiation of the sun with strong, fresh and powerful colours with dense texture on canvas.
The piece won the 23rdIrino Prize for orchestra in year 2002 in Japan
