Sensorielles II is part of a diptych for piano comprised of two, three-movement pieces. This piece focuses on a progressive diminution of the pianist’s gestures. While the musical material of the different movements are not closely related, the narrative process follows a linear evolution: the gestures are reduced to a small range in the middle register. This narrative follows the symptoms of a panic attack.
