Unleash the Bottleneck

Unleash the Bottleneck was created in the composer’s home studio and is Heifetz’s fourth mixed media work he has composed for a saxophone since 2003.  The digital sounds were generated using REplayPLAYer 4.0 software and processing was later achieved with SoundMagic Spectral Beta 6’s 24 Audio Unit plug-ins.   
The score utilizes both proportional and graphic notational systems, chance operations, and theatrical elements, all features rather typical of Heifetz’s mixed media works in recent years.  The spirit of its sonic environments is often displayed by elements of hyperactivity and hyper-drama.
