Descripción The digital sounds of Devil in the Detail were generated in a real-time interactive environment with REplayPLAYer software. Processing was later achieved with SoundMagic Spectral Beta 6’s Audio Unit plug-ins. The score uses both proportional and graphic notational systems, chance operations, and theatrical elements. The work is intended to be very intense, virtuosically demanding, and hyperdramatic. It was commissioned by saxophonist Nicholas Muellner of Lawrence University, Appleton,
Wisconsin, U.S.A. and was premiered by him at that institution in 2020.
