Untitled 5-2550

This composition has been composed for symphonic band in 2007 and edited for smaller group in 2014. The piece gathers eastern sounds, instrumental techniques together with western elements to create new Asian consonant sound. The piece was constructed by using superimposed and juxtaposed synthetic scale to several layers. The title “untitled 5/2550” means nothing but an implication of the 5th piece written in the Buddhist year 2550,which is equal to A.D. 2007. In the year of 2007 composer wrote many pieces with no incidental meaning by applying the name “untitled _/2550” to all of them.
